The word "music" has been derived from Greek word "mousik".Music can be defined as the flow of emotions characterised with the help of words and specified tunes.It is also considred as an art form whose medium is sound.Knowing music better,the common elements of music are pitch that governs melody and harmony,rhythm,dynamics and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.

Music is an important part of  life for too many people in many cultures.Music are tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies as defined by the Greek philosophers and ancirnt Indian philosophers.
However,the required definition of music,the creation,performance and the significance varies according to different culture and social context.music can be defined as genres and sub genres.Thus within the arts music may be categorised as a performing art,a fine art and auditory art respectively.
