caricature


The word "Caricature" is derived from Italian caricare that means to charge or to load.Caricature refers to any activity done for entertainment or that can also be to serve a political purpose which can also be insulting or complimentary.The caricatures of politicians are most commanly found in editorial cartoons.The caricatures of movie stars are also found often in entertainment magazines. 
Caricature can also be considered as an activity that distorts the essence of a person or a thing to create an easily recognizable visual likeness for entertainment.Thus caricature is usually a description of a person using some identifiable characteristics of others.
